Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie Bowl

A thick, creamy smoothie bowl that tastes like a liquid peanut butter cup and is loaded with healthy ingredients!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 large banana frozen*
  • 1 large handful of baby spinach about 1 cup
  • 1 1/2 Tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 Tablespoons peanut butter powder can sub 2 T regular peanut butter, if needed
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • a tiny pinch of salt
  • 1/4 cup water or milk of choice
  • optional: 2 Tablespoons protein powder of choice
  • toppings such as: granola nuts, seeds, chopped chocolate, fresh fruit, nut butters, etc

Instructions
 

  • 1. Put all ingredients into a blender, and blend on high until smooth, scraping down if needed. Pour into a bowl and serve immediately, with toppings of choice.

Notes

*The frozen banana gives this smoothie bowl its thick, creamy texture. Peel + freeze whole, ripe bananas in freezer bags to have them ready for smoothie bowls anytime!
