Peanut’s Winter Adventures

SPRING IS COMING!!

So let’s look back at this odd, nearly snowless winter and see what my best girl Peanut was up to.

Spoiler alert: there was a lot of snuggling on the couch, laying out in the sun, walking on the beach, and generally just being the happy little dog she is.

This winter started out with Peanut’s first birthday- she got her very own plate of mini dog-friendly pancakes with pumpkin and cranberries on top and has expected them every morning since- and ended with the state-wide recommendations for self-isolation, social distancing, and work-from-home-ing a la the coronavirus.

It’s safe to say, despite the humans freaking out in the past few weeks, Peanut has loved every minute of this winter. She finally overcame her general fear/confusion of things being tossed towards her face and can now catch food and balls being thrown her way (as seen below with the most smug look on her face after catching a tennis ball), and has honed her skills in finding the warmest spots around the house for her midday nap (usually the sunny spot in the kitchen but sometimes right on top of the vent as the heat blows, out on the back deck in the sun, or bundled under a blanket on the couch with Kevin).

Although she would really, really like another snow day, Peanut is 100% ready for more sunny days outside and is willing to allow Kevin to work from home forever, as long as she gets to snuggle up on the couch with him while he works.

I hope everyone’s ready for Spring!! If you’re stuck in self-quarantine right now, give your doggos extra belly rubs from me + Peanut!
