Saying Goodbye to Baked Greens

Hello friends and dear readers of this blog! I hope you are all doing well. I have been meaning to write this post for months and months, and life continues to get in the way.

Getting pregnant in a pandemic, buying a house, a traumatic birth, life with a newborn, endless sleepless nights, birthday parties, holidays, a teething baby (will I ever sleep again- survey says probably not), an unexpected, urgent need to replace our furnace- the list goes on.

You may have noticed that I have been quiet here since my son was born, and I have finally accepted that giving away free recipes on the internet is no longer something I am passionate about, and frankly something I do not have time for in this season of life. A few other fun projects are tugging at my heart, and I’m hoping to lean in to them more fully in the new year.

It has been a true pleasure to be your friendly neighborhood food blogger for all of these years, but the time has come for me to move on. If you follow me on Instagram, you already know about this change- I’ve updated my username there to be @chelseaofthevalley , and I’d love for you to follow me there so we can stay in touch, and I can share any future projects with you.

Rather than shut down this website, as I know many of you use and love the hundreds of recipes I’ve published throughout the years, I’ve decided to simply put it behind a paywall going forward. There will be a one-time ‘membership’ fee that will grant you ongoing access to every recipe. The price will be relatively low, and will essentially cover the cost of keeping the website up and running for the forseeable future. If you’ve made and enjoyed my recipes over the years, I would greatly appreciate your support in sending a little financial love my way as I close this chapter of my life.

I hope your future is full of abundant health, love, joy, and of course, plenty of good food.

With love,

Chelsea

  1. Thank you for this update!! There’s no other place on the internet I go for recipes but Baked Greens. Your recipes have been such a big part of mine and my family’s lives for so long now. Thank you for sharing your passion and creativity for all this time! I look forward to contributing to ongoing access to my favorite source of recipes 🙂 Also, I would most *definitely* buy your cookbook, for myself and everyone I know, should you ever make one (or many!!). WIshing you nothing but goodness!!
