What to Make this October: 31 Recipes Using October Produce

Today I’m sharing 31 recipes- one for each day of the month- to make the most of October produce. Below you’ll find recipes celebrating fall produce like apples, pears, potatoes, squash, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, and sweet potatoes, to help you take advantage of the beautiful fall harvest that’s underway right now!Roasted Kabocha Squash with Chili, Lime, & Honey

Happy October! While I find fall to be a stressful time of year thanks to the dwindling daylight and impending holiday season, I also am entirely in love with fall produce and am always looking for creative ways to take advantage of all the beautiful squashes, cauliflower, and potatoes coming out of the ground this time of year.

So, today I’m sharing a guide to cooking and eating seasonally in October with 31 recipes, one for each day of October, in hopes that, if you’re struggling with this season of transitions too, at least there will be plenty of good food.

The recipes below are divided into breakfast, lunch/dinner, dessert, and snacks/other, to help you navigate them more easily. Each of them features produce that is in season right now (at least, it’s in season for me, here in New England) and can be sourced at local farmer’s markets (which, by the way, are absolutely exploding with produce this time of year and are typically much more affordable than the grocery store). Enjoy!
